Fortunately, many resorts and parks are accessible by many modes of transportation, and it can feel like the various forms are a vacation in themselves (we’re looking at you, Disney Skyliner).

Disney Trams transport Guests from the parking lot to the front of the park. This is a very convenient service at the end of a long day. No one likes to put in thousands of steps and then walk another mile to their car!

After a long closure, when the parks reopened in 2020, all parking lot trams have now returned at all 4 Theme Parks at Walt Disney World.

As with most Disney attractions, the Disney Tram also has a safety speech while climbing aboard. For the past several years, Cast Members have shared the safety protocols for guests, but this has now changed.

Recently, we noticed a change to a pre-recorded speech that plays, reminding guests to “Lower your head and watch your step. Push down on the handle and pull out on the door.”

“Once we are underway, please remain properly seated, facing forward, with no lap sitting except for small children. During your journey, sudden stops and breaks may occur. If a personal belonging falls from the tram, please remain seated and inform the nearest Cast member at the next stop.”

“Once you arrive at your destination, please be aware that you and your bags are subject to a security screening. Weapons of any kind, including firearms and knives, as well as selfie sticks, are prohibited. If you have of these items, please return them to your vehicle now. Thank you and welcome aboard.”

Although the speech is seemingly the same, it is interesting that this is now pre-recorded. Cast Members will still share safety reminders if guests are not following the safety guidelines.

It is unclear why Disney made this change, but hopefully, this will help keep the message clear and uniform for guests on all trams.
