Even More Construction is Coming to This Magic Kingdom Resort

Lots of construction is happening around Disney World, including the Magic Kingdom area resorts. One resort just announced even more construction will be happening soon!

Feel close to the magic by camping near the magic! Guests will take in the American frontier with all different types of wildlife including deer, rabbits, ducks, and armadillos that will roam the resort. Can you believe that this resort takes up 750 acres? You can relax in the great outdoors only minutes from Magic Kingdom!

Fort Wilderness Campground is commonly known as “The Fort.” The campsites are in a category of their own when booking, and the cabins are now part of the Disney Vacation Club.

Current Construction

The Settlement Bus Depot has temporarily relocated due to construction. The new temporary bus stop is located in the parking lot next to Pioneer Hall. You can read more about that HERE.

Along with this construction, Guests will also hear construction from Disney Lakeshore Lodge being built. You can see the construction update HERE. Another structure is going up near the Settlement Depot. Some have speculated that this will be for DVC sales, but Disney has not stated what this new structure will be.

There is good news with the next scheduled construction! Even with the construction near the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool, the two pools at The Fort, The Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool, will remain open. The Disney’s Fort Wilderness Website States:

It is unclear what work will be done in this area, however, we are certainly happy to see that the pools will remain open. Guests will want to follow the posted signage for directions on accessing the pool area during this construction as normal routes may be closed.
