Guests hoping to soak in the Disney magic are now issued a warning that may affect their plans. Find out what this may mean for guests visiting and for your future trips to Walt Disney World.
Disney World Weather Warnings

There are many things to consider when planning your trip to Walt Disney World. From rainstorms to hurricane planning, Florida weather can put a few wrinkles even in the best-laid travel plans.
With a park located in Central Florida, Walt Disney World tries to update guests on weather advisories as quickly as possible.
Florida has been hit pretty hard this year with record low temps, a fog advisory, and even major disruptions at the Orlando International Airport.
Weather Warning

A Red Flag Warning is now issued for East Central Florida including Volusia, Lake, Seminole, Orange, Osceola, and Brevard. This affects both Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida.
This warning begins at 1:00 a.m. and ends at 7:00 p.m. today, April 11, 2025. The above-mentioned counties are predicted to experience wind speeds of 10 to 15 mph.
This warning is simply to avoid the risk of a fire starting due to the current conditions of the winds, dry conditions, and rapidly drying fuels present.
How this may affect guests

Walt Disney World guests encountered similar warnings in March of this year. Everyone in these counties should avoid open flames or sparks as a burn ban is now in effect. This will significantly affect guests at Fort Wilderness with both campfires and grilling.
A Red Flag Warning is in place at Walt Disney World from 1:00 pm-7:00 pm today.
This may also affect nighttime campfire activities at your Walt Disney World Resort and even nighttime entertainment. Higher wind gusts are expected this evening reaching 15-25mph. At times portions of Fantasyland are closed due to high wind for Happily Ever After.
