Disney fans love the Disney and Pixar film Coco. In this film, you follow Miguel’s journey to the magical land of his ancestors. We are excited to see these characters from the film make their way into the parks.
Disney is bringing Coco into the parks in several ways. “Disney Starlight” will get a new Coco float!
In EPCOT’s Mexico pavilion, guests at Walt Disney World can enjoy the Mexico Folk Art Gallery featuring fun characters from Coco. Miguel and Dante were also featured as topiaries in the Mexico pavilion during EPCOT’s International Flower and Garden Festival.

Today, during an Annual Shareholders webcast, CEO Bob Iger shared some exciting news. Disney and Pixar are working on a sequel to “Coco.”

Currently, the film is in development. It is expected to arrive in theaters in 2029.
What we Know
At this time, Disney has not shared much information about “Coco 2.” The only information that has been shared is that it is in the works and when it’s expected to be in the theaters (2029). No information has been shared regarding the storyline.
No information regarding Miguel’s possible adventure in “Coco 2” has been shared.
We do know that Lee Unkrich (he left Pixar in 2019) will return to Pixar and direct “Coco 2.”
