Park hours are a great way to plan which park you would like to plan for each day. Walt Disney World posts rather standard park hours in advance, and many times these park hours are extended.
However, there is a hidden secret that may not make sense when you look at Disney Park hours. If a park closes early, that can actually be the best day to visit.

Traveling to Walt Disney World during the summer takes a bit of planning. The park hours can fluctuate as well as the price for Disney Genie.
As the crowds and wait times increase, so does the price of Disney Genie. Typically, Magic Kingdom is the most expensive Park to purchase Disney Genie. If you can avoid purchasing Disney Genie at the highest-priced park, this can equal big savings for your entire traveling party.
This leads us to what may possibly be the BEST day to visit the Magic Kingdom, on June 21, 2024. Magic Kingdom closes early, at 7:00 pm, on this day but hear us out why this may be the best day to visit.
Best Day to Visit
Many guests will avoid Magic Kingdom on June 21st with this early closing. Our experience has been that days when Magic Kingdom closes early for specially ticketed events, such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, can be magical.
Magic Kingdom closes early on June 21st at 7:00 pm.
With lower crowds, we enjoyed hopping on multiple attractions with minimal wait times. If you have a Park Hopper ticket, you could enjoy short wait times at Magic Kingdom during the day, and hop to enjoy great nighttime entertainment at another park for the evening.
