Shades of Green sits on Disney World property, but it is actually owned by the Department of Defense. This hotel offers active duty servicemembers and other select categories of veterans the opportunity to enjoy Disney World at a great price.

Shades of Green is located right across from Disney’s Polynesian Resort. In fact, before the walkway was permanently closed, Guests staying at Shades of Green could walk to the Polynesian in about 5 minutes!

To read my (Monica) guide of Shades of Green, be sure to head over HERE. While I really love the location and price of Shades of Green, I am saddened to know that the big perk (walking to the Polynesian and monorail) is gone.
