If you want a true escape, Disney has got you covered. Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is Disney’s newest private destination. It is tucked away on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas.
Disney has another private destination accessible only to Guests on Disney Cruise Line called Castaway Cay. You can read about it HERE.
Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point promises to bring travelers the same Disney Magic you will find on Castaway Cay but with its own unique twists. As soon as guests step foot on the new property, they will discover a celebration of Bahamian storytelling, artistry, and culture.
Arrival
The magic begins upon arrival at Mabrika Cove. “Mabrika” means “welcome” in Taino, the language of the Lucayans, the indigenous people of The Bahamas. Although most of the language has vanished, this word remains.
What better name for the arrival point that welcomes Guests to the destination? This is where the immersion in the island’s warm and colorful culture begins.
Lookout Cay
On Lookout Cay, you will find The Goombay Cultural Center. This center will embody the essence of “Junkanoo,” a Bahamian festival filled with joyous music and vibrant parades! The air will be filled with Goombay, one of the traditional music styles of The Bahamas.
On Triton’s Trumpet Stage, visitors will find fun entertainment happenings. Not far from there, enjoy shopping for locally made gifts and artisan crafts at Treasures of Eleuthera.
While Lookout Cay is a family destination, there will be an adult-only space, just like you find on Castaway Cay. Serenity Bay will be a relaxing retreat exclusively for adults 18 years of age and older.
When Can You Visit
Disney Cruise Line will begin sailing to Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in 2024. Lucky cruisers will find it as a stop on select itineraries.
