Happy Changes for One Popular Disney World Restaurant

Happy Changes for One Popular Disney World Restaurant

We love it when something in Disney World changes for the better. The updates for one Disney World restaurant sound like they will have a positive impact on Guest experience.

One of the toughest dining reservations to get at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant. Many of the tough-to-get reservations are for restaurants that are new to the scene such as Rodeo Roundup BBQ.

While Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant is certainly not new, it has staying power and has become a place that has kept Guests returning over and over. Its popularity is largely due to its unique ambiance. It is themed to a drive-in theatre.

Of course, there are traditional tables available, but diners can request to dine inside a car booth for an extra dose of themed fun! The restaurant also airs clips and trailers for campy sci-f/horror films as well as spooky cartoon shorts featuring Mickey Mouse or Tom and Jerry. It can be quite a fun experience for the right audience.

Better yet, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant tends to be a wonderful escape from the elements. It is cool and ever so quiet.

However, while the ambiance makes the restaurant popular, the food is not always something Guests rave about. In fact, the restaurant has received some relatively scathing food reviews as of late. You can see a review HERE and another HERE. This is why we are excited about this latest piece of Disney dining news.

Menu Updates for Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant

Now, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre Restaurant is getting a menu update! In fact, the new menu rolled out just yesterday, October 11, 2023.

We can’t wait to taste all of the food. It would be great if the quality of the restaurant’s foods aligned a bit more strongly with the quality of the theming. Check out the menu items and see what you think!

My family loves Sci-Fi. Have a burger watch cheesy film clips from 1950s. Service is always great

Exactly, well said. We are going the end of November. My son is 22 and Loves this restaurant, but is a Very picky eater, we are hoping he can get Chicken Strips off the kids menu. We were able to 2017 (the previous time we were there at WDW)
