EPCOT’s Harmonious show came to an end on April 2, 2023. It has been temporarily replaced with EPCOT Forever. During this show, guests can “Witness the wonder as the story of EPCOT and its next incredible chapter come to life in this nighttime spectacular. Behold the single “spark of imagination” that started it all.”

Disney has made it clear that this replacement is only available for a limited amount of time until the beginning of their new nighttime spectacular. “The show will feature an original composition and evocative selections from the Disney songbook all woven together to remind us that we are more alike than different.”

Firework Testing

“EPCOT Forever,” the nighttime spectacular featuring fireworks, music and lighting effects over World Showcase Lagoon, returns July 1, 2021, to EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Every now and then, Disney will hold firework testing overnight. Guests might be able to hear some audio testing and be treated to another fireworks display overnight!

Guests staying at EPCOT resorts on September 10th should be aware that testing will occur between the hours of 11 p.m. and 1 a.m.

If you are staying at the following resorts, you might get to see some testing:

  • Walt Disney World Swan
  • Walt Disney World Dolphin
  • Walt Disney World Swan Reserve
  • Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
  • Disney’s Beach Club Resort
  • Disney Boardwalk Resort
  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
  • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
  • Disney’s Old Key West Resort

Could this be a sign that Disney is preparing for EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular? The timing of the testing seems to make sense. Remember, October 16th is going to be a big day for Disney World!

Do you think this is a good sign? Will you be at Walt Disney World during the fireworks testing? Let us know in the comments below or share this post with a friend who will be there then!

I think they should have never got get rid of illuminations reflections of Earth type that in on YouTube the viewership alone and how people will love that show just goes to show that that was really original and I think this is Disney's problem they do so much intellectual property that they don't realize the parks were supposed to be an original idea not everything has to be from movies and TV you go to the parks experience something that you won't experience anywhere else

You have made me more curious and eager to see Harmonious with your post. You have shown me some evidence and speculation that suggest the show might be coming soon. I also like how you described the show, it seems like a spectacular and innovative experience.
