When Genie+ first debuted, pricing was set at $15 at Disney World. However, last fall Disney introduced variable pricing. With date-based theme park ticket pricing and Disney’s announcement that Guests could no longer purchase Genie+ in advance, variable pricing came as a little surprise.

In doing so, it allowed Disney to control pricing based on demand. This newest change even allows Disney to control pricing based on demand in each park. That’s right – Disney now has variable Genie+ pricing from park to park. Read the full story HERE.

When this new model first debuted, prices were set at:

  • Multiple parks: $27
  • Magic Kingdom: $27
  • EPCOT: $18
  • Hollywood Studios: $24
  • Animal Kingdom: $16

Of course, this model is with variable pricing. Guests wondered if this is the lowest pricing available and how high the price may rise when crowds increase and with holidays in the parks. We saw our first higher price jump come with the start of the July 4th holiday, with pricing as high as $35. See this full breakdown HERE.

Disney is hemorrhaging money amidst their DEI campaign. The stock price is at decade low and their forecasts does not look good through 2024. They will raise prices. The new epic universal will deal a big blow their bottom line at the theme parks.

This does not surprise me. Central Florida is expecting wind and rain from the tropical storm on Tuesday.
