Extended Evening Hours
There are three types of hotel accommodations at Disney World: deluxe, moderate, and value. I have stayed in all three types, but my favorite is deluxe. Not only will you find better room accommodations like softer beds and more space, but there are other perks as well!
The biggest advantage of a deluxe stay is Extended Evening Hours. While Early Theme Park Entry is included for all onsite Guests, Extended Evening Hours are only for deluxe and deluxe villa Guests. This perk gives you extra time in the park after the normal operating hours have ended. Enjoy low wait times and low crowds!
Typically, Epcot hosts Extended Evening Hours on Monday nights and Magic Kingdom hosts the perk on Wednesday nights. Sometimes, we even see a few rare dates at Hollywood Studios! And now, for the first time EVER, we will have EEH at Animal Kingdom.
Animal Kingdom
Many people consider Disney’s Animal Kingdom a half-day park, particularly for short trips. It is certainly possible to squeeze in plenty of priority attractions, entertainment, and experiences if you plan carefully and get the timing right.
However, you should absolutely consider ending your Day at Animal Kingdom instead of starting there. The park is so beautiful at night! Check out this post for four reasons why you should end your day there.
Now, there will be another reason to visit Animal Kingdom at night: Extended Evening Hours!
Schedule
Disney just added Extended Evening Hours for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. They have never offered that perk in this park. Right now, the only date we see is November 8, 2023. The calendar does not go out any further so we are unsure any other dates that may be included.
If you are keeping track that is a Wednesday, which is usually Magic Kingdom’s evening to host. With Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, many of those dates moved to Hollywood Studios. Could we see EEH move over to Animal Kingdom for the Christmas season?
