Warning: Disney World stops Extended Evening Hours for select dates

If you are spending big money to stay in a deluxe resort, you definitely want to know about these dates.

Extended Evening Hours

There are three types of hotel accommodations at Disney World: deluxe, moderate, and value. I have stayed in all three types, but my favorite is deluxe. Not only will you find better room accommodations like softer beds and more space, but there are other perks as well!

The biggest advantage of a deluxe stay is Extended Evening Hours. While Early Theme Park Entry is included for all onsite Guests, Extended Evening Hours are only for deluxe and deluxe villa Guests. This “event” gives you extra time in the park after the normal operating hours have ended. Enjoy low wait times and low crowds!

Schedule Change

Typically, Epcot hosts Extended Evening Hours on Monday nights and Magic Kingdom hosts the perk on Wednesday nights. Sometimes, we even see a few rare dates at Hollywood Studios!

Many people spend a lot of money to stay at a deluxe resort in order to attend one of these evenings. Crowds are essentially non-existent, so it feels like you have the park to yourself.

Unfortunately, Disney just changed the calendar for these events. Magic Kingdom will not offer Extended Evening Hours on select nights in September and October:

Wednesday, September 27
Wednesday, October 4
Wednesday, October 11

Right now, the calendar is not updated for later in October so we are unsure when these events will pick back up. With Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party taking up the rest of 2023, there is just a lot going on at Magic Kingdom right now.

Alternatives

Instead, Guests can still enjoy Extended Evening Hours at Epcot on Monday evenings. In addition, Hollywood Studios will offer events on the following nights: September 30, October 5, October 11, October 19 and October 25, 2023.

It definitely seems Disney knew they would need to cancel some Magic Kingdom EEH and offered the same benefit at Hollywood Studios.
