It is getting real! Check out the exciting new update as Encanto prepares to delight guests at Walt Disney World.
Encanto at Walt Disney World
Encanto is extremely popular with both guests young and the young at heart. Currently, at Disney World, you can only catch Mirabel in the Adventure Friends cavalcade.
Earlier this year, Disney announced that Mirabel will come to the Magic Kingdom. The space where Merida previously met is being redesigned for Mirabel. This means Merida will officially leave her home next to Cinderella Castle. You can still meet Merida at this Magic Kingdom location though.
As work is well underway for this newly reimagined space, we wanted a date to plan towards. Thankfully, Disney just released that in honor of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, we will soon be able to see a few of our favorite Madrigal family members.
Starting on September 15th, guests can not only see Mirabel during the Adventure Friends cavalcade but also Bruno as well. On September 15th, guests can also meet Mirabel in her magical Casita.
New Update
Guests are overjoyed with this news and we can’t wait to see what this newly designed space will look like. We now have a great update for the Mirabel Meet and Greet at the Magic Kingdom.
The Walt Disney World website now lists “Meet Mirabel at Fairytale Garden- Opening September 15, 2023.” Guests are invited to “Step into the courtyard outside of Casa Madrigal and share stories with Mirabel about home, family, and the things that make each of us special.”
We have been anxiously awaiting this news and can’t wait to share photos of this newly designed area once it is unveiled. At times, Disney surprises us with “soft openings” for characters, dining locations, and even attractions. We are hopeful that Mirabel may greet guests a bit sooner than expected.
