We are now closer than ever to this new Encanto meet and greet!

Disney’s Encanto has fans in love with the Madrigal family. We have seen Mirabel at Disneyland,  Adventure Friends Cavalcade, and “training” at Epcot. This past spring, Disney announced that this fall, Mirabel from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ hit film “Encanto” will greet guests in Fairytale Garden surrounded by whimsical décor inspired by La Familia Madrigal.

The space where Merida currently meets will be redesigned for Mirabel. This means Merida will officially leave her home next to Cinderella Castle. Before this location was home to Merida, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider greeted guests at this location.

Hopefully, Merida will still meet somewhere else in the park as Rapunzel did.

New Progress Being Made

Although Disney has not announced an exact time frame for when Mirabel may greet guests, we now see progress. The Adena Corporation submitted permits for work to take place at the Fairtyale Gardens.

This permit cites “General Construction” without details listed. It is a pretty good assumption that this work will be to transform this space into The Casa Madrigal. This is exciting that work will soon begin to retheme this space.

The Fairytale Gardens will probably close temporarily while construction work is being completed.

We also recently shared that Walt Disney World has issued a casting call for Bruno from Encanto. We hope this may be for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.

A permit is now filed for “General Construction” of the Fairytale Gardens at the Magic Kingdom.

If permits are filed for work to begin for The Case Madrigal, possibly this may be the meeting place for both Bruno and Mirabel during the Halloween Party starting on August 11th. We can’t wait to see how this space will transform and to finally meet Mirabel at Walt Disney World.

What do you think of this transformation? How long do you think that the Fairytale Gardens may be closed? Are you excited for Mirabel to finally greet guests at the Magic Kingdom? Share your thoughts and share this with a fellow Disney pal.
