Disney Is Now Testing A New Buy Now Pick Up Later Service

Want to be able to bring home your favorite Disney souvenirs without carrying them around all day? Disney is now testing this new service and offering a great incentive for a limited time.

Before the parks closed in 2020, Guests could shop to their heart’s content and have their purchases held either at the front of the Park or delivered to their Disney Resort.

This was a great service that allowed Guests to truly enjoy the Parks without the burden of carrying around multiple bags and purchases. My (Donna) husband thought this was a clever way for Disney to encourage additional purchases, but that is a completely different subject altogether.

With the reopening of the Walt Disney World Parks, the Package Delivery service is no longer offered. That is still the case at Walt Disney World, while this service is once again offered at Disneyland. Now Disney is trying out a brand new service with the help of Disney guests.

Buy Now, Pick Up Later

In the age that we now live in where you can pick up groceries and supplies with a mobile order, Disney is now interested in bringing this to the Disney Parks.

Disneyland guests can place a mobile order at the World of Disney store located in Downtown Disney for an order of $20 or more. They can then visit the World of Disney and pick up these items the same day.

The best part is that guests trying this new mobile order service can enjoy up to 3 hours of FREE parking at the Simba parking lot. Want to try it out? Just follow these simple steps:

• Using the Disneyland app select World of Disney and choose a pick-up arrival window.
• Choose your merchandise.
• Continue to checkout.
• When it is your arrival window time, tap “Prepare My Order” just as you do when making a Mobile Food Order.
• You will receive a notification when your order is ready for pickup.

Bring your Simba parking ticket with you to the World of Disney to receive parking validation. It is important to note that after 3 hours, the guest will be responsible for paying additional parking fees.

This new testing only applies to select merchandise at World of Disney and is currently offered for a limited time. We hope testing goes well and this may soon be available at Walt Disney World as well.
