Disney+ is continuing to bring viewers even more new content for the month of August, despite much of the content being removed from the streaming service. Here is everything new coming!

The huge Disney+ content purge left Disney+ subscribers shocked at the removal of dozens and dozens of Disney Originals from the platform, some with no warning at all. You can read a list of all the content that has vanished from Disney+ here.
While some of the cancellations were expected, others have been quietly removed. However, new content continues to be added each month. The month of July saw a big release with the hit children’s series, Bluey. Viewers can now see ten new episodes, and if you are like me (Maggie), I am already ready for more!

Wednesday, August 2
Wednesday, August 2 will be a big day for the streaming service. It brings viewers brand new episodes of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures and Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3 will be released. The third movie in the Marvel franchise will be released on other digital platforms beginning August 1. We are excited to see that fans do not have to wait much longer for it to arrive on Disney+.

The final season of the series will center around the Wildcats preparing a stage production of High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Their plans are disrupted when Principal Gutierrez announces that Disney is making the long-awaited High School Musical 4: The Reunion Movie at their beloved high school.

Wednesday, August 23
Audiences seeking more Star Wars content won’t have long to wait. On Wednesday, August 23, viewers will be treated to the two-episode premiere of Star Wars: Ahsoka. Set after the fall of the Empire, the show follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. The third episode of the series will be released on Wednesday, August 30.
