Early Theme Park Entry gives resort guests the first chance to enjoy select attractions at EVERY theme park, EVERY day. The parks open 30 minutes early for guests staying at Disney World Resorts, at other select hotels at Walt Disney World, and also at Disneyland Resort Hotels as well.
These Early Theme Park Entry times are helpful for Guests who are still on the fence about using the Disney Genie+ system. This allows Guests to enjoy select attractions with shorter wait times.

Many Disney guests find this an added benefit to staying on property, but unfortunately, Early Theme Park entry will not be offered on August 20, 2023, at both Disneyland and California Adventure.

Guests with upcoming Disneyland Resort reservations are notified that August 20th will not offer Early Theme Park entry as they celebrate one of Disneyland’s biggest annual events, CHOC Walk in the Park.
The Choc Walk in the Park is the largest fundraising walk for pediatric care in the nation. This benefits the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (frequently abbreviated as CHOC). CHOC is located in the city of Orange, which is south of Anaheim.
Thousands of Disney fans sign up for this event to benefit this wonderful cause. The CHOC walk includes a family-friendly 5K walk through Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and the Downtown Disney District. With plenty of fun photo-ops and Disney characters, this is a great event.
This is great news for participants of this event, but not so great news for guests hoping to visit the theme parks this day.
