Character Interactions

Some guests visit Disney Parks for attractions and entertainment. One thing that sets Disney apart from other amusement parks is the ability to meet so many of our favorite characters. Be sure to check out Monica’s tips for meeting characters HERE.

There is nothing like meeting your favorite Disney and Pixar characters at Disney Parks. Of course, meeting classics such as Mickey and his pals and the princesses is great, but there is something magical about meeting characters away from the traditional meet and greet setting.

During my first trip to Walt Disney World back in 1991, I remember when there were characters all throughout Walt Disney World. Character interactions have changed quite a bit throughout the years. These are now more traditional character meet and greets as opposed to the roaming characters that are more common at Disneyland.

When we hear of roaming characters at Walt Disney World, this reminds us of these fun, magical surprises. Earlier we shared the magical characters roaming during Happily Ever After fireworks.

Rope drop at Disney Parks essentially means the time that a particular park or experience opens. Many guests love rope drop while enjoying shorter wait times for attractions. This is a great strategy especially if you hope to avoid purchasing Disney Genie+, but there is also another great reason to rope drop at the Magic Kingdom.

This morning as we visited the Magic Kingdom, we enjoyed no wait to see Merida in her brand new meeting location. We also enjoyed true Disney magic as several characters were roaming.

Over in Adventureland, we first spotted Aladdin and Jasmine out roaming. They took in the sights and even looked at a few glasses over at the Sunglass Hut. it is so fun to see the characters in a laid-back setting.

In Fantasyland, we spotted our favorite stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella. These two never disappoint with their fun banter and today was no exception.

This is such a fun experience that guests can enjoy before the heavy crowds arrive for the day.

Guests enjoyed a ride around the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel with Anastasia and Drizella. This was no doubt a fun experience for those guests enjoying the attraction along with those watching as well.

More characters have been spotted roaming at rope drop on other dates too. This is such a fun experience that guests can enjoy before the heavy crowds arrive for the day.

What do you think of these roaming characters? Do you love to rope drop? Will you try and see these roaming characters during your next trip to the Magic Kingdom? Share your thoughts and share this great experience with a fellow Disney pal.
