The Walt Disney Company has undergone shakeup after shakeup in the 6+ months since Bob Chapek was fired. See who else is leaving now.

Fans were shocked when Bob Chapek was fired as CEO of The Walt Disney Company and Bob Iger stepped back in. The timeline was a very swift one. Disney’s choice to remove Bob Chapek as Disney CEO was based upon poor fiscal fourth-quarter earnings. Part of this poor earnings was tied to Disney+ and discrepancies in Bob Chapek’s budget.

Within 24 hours of Chapek’s exit, Kareem Daniel who was the Chairman of Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution left the company.

Soon after executive Arthur Bochner did the same. Bochner served as Chapek’s chief of staff until last August. After that, he moved to the position of Vice President of Strategic Communications.

Then in December, Heather Hust Rivera stepped down as the Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution executive. Rivera served the Walt Disney Company for 17 years.

Everyone’s favorite “cutting portion sizes would be good for waistlines” CFO is leaving the company now. Just last month, a new lawsuit alleged that she, along with Chapek and Daniel, misled investors regarding Disney+. You can read about that HERE.

She will take a medical leave of absence, and her official last day with company will be June 30, 2024. According to Iger, she graciously offered to move into an advisory position until then to assist her successor in assuming the duties she has so expertly handled these many years.

Who will take her place?

Kevin Lansberry, EVP and CFO of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products will serve as interim, effective July 1. A thorough search internally and externally will be conducted to find a permanent replacement.

While it doesn’t sound like the lawsuit has anything to do with her departure, this definitely looks better for the company now that the three top executive named in the lawsuit are gone.
