D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event
The Walt Disney Company makes many Park announcements throughout the year, but usually the BIGGEST announcements occur during the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
Today, August 13, 2026, is D23 Day at Disneyland Resort. Guests received a free commemorative Mickey hat and pin to wear around the Parks.
In addition there are awesome characters roaming such as Merlin, the Blue Fairy and many others; great photo-ops; trunk shows, artist showcases and signings; along with special entertainment.
D23 Cavalcade
Today at 1:30 pm (PT), Guests enjoyed a special Disney Legends Cavalcade with 23 of our favorite Disney characters with Disney legends.
Leading the cavalcade are a few of the 2026 Disney Legends to be honored this weekend including Susan Egan, Kim Irvine, and Eric Goldberg.
A double decker bus soon followed with several other Disney Legends including Bob Gurr, Mark Henn, Tom Nabbe, Paige O'Hara, Tony Baxter, Joe Rohde, Ming-Na Wen, Linda Larkin, Jodi Benson, Wing T. Chao, Floyd Norman, and several others.
Disney Legends Cavalcade
This was no doubt an unbelievable experience for Disney fans. It is such an amazing experience to see the faces behind the magic of the Disney Parks and Disney entertainment.
Disney Legends greeted Guests during a special cavalcade at Disneyland today.
What was equally exciting was seeing how excited the Disney Legends were waving and cheering to the many Guests lining the streets.
