This After Hours event is now better than ever with new entertainment and rare characters.
After Hours Event
Wish you could experience even more magic and adventure in less time? Now you can with a ticket to the Disney After Hours events. There are many ways to enjoy the Walt Disney World Parks with fewer guests. Guests staying at select Deluxe Walt Disney World Resorts can enjoy Extended Evening Hours at both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on select nights.
In 2023 came the return of the Disney After Hours events. These are separately ticketed events that allow guests to enter the park at 7:00 pm to get a head start on soaking up all of the late-night fun! Currently, these are offered on select dates for both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Finally, the Moonlight Magic After Hours event for Disney Vacation Club Members is another great event. These events are free and fun! Guests get to access the park after hours and also get free food and drinks.

Great Entertainment
The Moonlight Magic event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios entertained guests last night, May 11th. The event starts at 10:00 pm and allows guests to enjoy the parks until 1:00 am.
Guests in attendance enjoyed a special 11:00 pm showing of Fantasmic! This is a great way to enjoy this beautiful show with lower crowds. Great entertainment options were in abundance during this event with an Event DJ at Center Stage and also a DJ Dance Party.
Over at the Hyperion Theater guests can also hear from Walt Disney World’s Ambassadors Ali Manion and Raevon Redding. These two are present at so many special events and bring the party everywhere they go.
At this special Moonlight Magic event they share their experience representing Cast Members and the history of the Ambassador Program.
Special After Hours events are a great way to unlock even more Disney magic. From lower wait times, great entertainment, and of course spotting rare characters, this evening was a great success.
Rare Characters
We all love the opportunity to meet rare characters; this event did not disappoint. Characters greeted guests near Star Tours, Commissary Lane, Toy Story Land, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Over at Galaxy’s Edge, Boba Fett greeted guests. This is a great meet and greet to start off the evening. Afterward, we made our way to the DJ Dance Party in the Disney Junior Theatre.
We were instantly amazed at all of the characters from Lilo and Stitch. Stitch was moving and grooving, but all the other characters were just happy greeting guests.
Angel is always a delight and we have seen her make a few appearances over the years. We were not expecting to see Pleakley at this dance party. As a former member of the Galactic Federation, Pleakley kept a watchful “eye” on the dance party and Stitch’s whereabouts.
The rare characters kept rolling out. One of the biggest surprises of the night was the large and in charge Gantu from Lilo and Stitch. This alien that looks like a cross between a whale and a shark does not greet guests often. This was a rare treat to meet him up close.
Finally, Dr. Hamsterviel greeted guests. He appears small, he is a big mastermind in the Lilo and Stitch saga. Although this dance party was more of a rare character interaction, this was an amazing way to spend part of our special event.
