This family-thrill coaster features the blockbuster “Guardians of the Galaxy” films. Also, you’ll encounter our favorite cosmic outlaws: Rocket, Groot, Drax, Gamora and Star-Lord (a.k.a. Peter Quill). It’s truly the best Disney World ride ever!
Guardians Movies
Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” is an action-packed, epic space adventure directed by James Gunn. The first movie was released in 2014 and the second in 2017. In “Guardians of the Galaxy,” a space adventurer, Peter Quill, finds himself the being hunted constantly for a bounty after stealing a mysterious orb. The villain, Ronan, has visions of taking over the entire universe.
In “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own.
A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Guardians Meet and Greets
In 2017, when Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 2 was released, Disney gave guests a unique character meet and greet. I (Susan) was thrilled to meet Star Lord and Baby Groot at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
With Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 launch today, Disney announced another out-of-this-world meet!
For a limited time at Disneyland Resort, Mantis is joining Star-Lord at Avengers Campus for “Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off!” The celestial siblings will get their groove on in front of the Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! attraction, as they recruit guests with the right skills to join their band of heroes.
