Event Finally Returns

There is nothing quite like the magic of the Disney Parks. runDisney offers guests a unique opportunity to see if they can “Go the Distance” while enjoying the true magic of Disney in every mile.

Participants enjoy great character meet and greets both before, during, and after the races. Many of these characters are quite rare which makes these events quite appealing to all Character Locators.

Throughout the race courses are great Disney entertainment, access to run through the parks prior to park opening, and also some pretty great medals.

In February 2020, runDisney hosted the Princess 1/2 marathon weekend before the shutdown due to the pandemic. Gradually runDisney events returned at Walt Disney World and are now in full swing.

Over at Disneyland, the last runDisney event was held in November 2017. After a long hiatus, Disney announced that runDisney events will return to Disneyland in 2024.

First Look at Race Themes

Registration has already taken place for this event on January 11-24, 2024, but if they weren’t already sold out they would be now after this sneak peek at these race themes.

Featured above is the race theme for the Disneyland 5K with Mickey’s best pal Pluto. Next up is the 10K featuring both Donald and Daisy Duck.

Moving on to the half-marathon is the leader of the club made for you and me, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. We love the fun design of each character with fun colors as well.

Finally, for guests ready for a challenge is the Dumbo Double Dare Challenge. Guests registering for this challenge will participate in both the 10K and the half-marathon this weekend.

We love Dumbo featured on this challenge for guests completing a total of 19.3 miles for this runDisney race weekend. Those runDisney participants on the East Coast are a bit jealous of these fun race themes.

Registration has already taken place for this event on January 11-24, 2024, but if they weren’t already sold out they would be now after this sneak peek at these race themes.

We are so excited that runDisney is returning to Disneyland in 2024 and we can’t wait to see the medals for these races.

What do you think of these race themes? Do you like these better or worse than what is offered at Walt Disney World? Are you signed up for these events? Share your thoughts in the comments and share this post with fellow Disney pals.
