Getting everything planned for your Disney trip can be stressful and now Disney may make it even harder because of a planned outage.

Planning Your Trip

Disney World is not like other vacation destinations. There is a lot of planning that goes into it! Everything from crowd calendars and resorts to researching restaurants and park strategies mean you may be spending months figuring everything out.

While resort reservations can be booked up to several months in advance, most reservations can be booked 60 days ahead of your trip. This includes dining, Enchanting Extras (like Savi’s Workshop), and more.

Many popular restaurants and experiences will book up quickly, so it is best to book them as close as you can to your 60 day window. However, Disney is going to make this all a bit harder very soon.

Website Glitches

The My Disney Experience app and website continue to be the heart of planning Disney vacations both at home and while on vacation. Guests manage reservations, tickets and itineraries on the “My Plans” section. See how to link your family and friends in your MDE app HERE.

Last month, My Disney Experience experienced major glitches! Disney IT is experiencing a widespread glitch impacting some accounts. Not only does this affect Disney Parks, but it could also affect Disney+, ESPN, Hulu, and D23.

It is becoming quite common for Disney tech glitches to pop up. We have seen this as guests tried to make reservations from home. On multiple occasions, guests were unable to purchase Disney Genie+ or to purchase Individual Lightning Lanes for select attractions.

Planned Outage

When you go to the My Disney Experience App, you’ll receive a pop-up notification stating that a planned outage will take place. This is set to begin tomorrow, April 25 at 12:00 am. There is no end date or time set for this outage. See the announcement below:

Some of our digital experiences will be undergoing maintenance. Dine reservations, Resort bookings and Enchanting Extras Collection bookings may be affected starting Tuesday, April 25th at 12am ET. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Disney Experience App will be down for a planned outage beginning Tuesday, April 25th at 12am ET with no given end date or time given.

Will this Help?

When Disney World new annual pass sales resumed recently, some people ended up waiting in a virtual waiting room overnight. See just what happened HERE.

Hopefully, this will help avoid glitches while resort guests begin buying Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets in a few days. Also, this is the second scheduled maintenance this month. Check out the date HERE of the previous planned outage.

What do you think of this scheduled maintenance? Will help avoid My Disney Experience glitches and crazy wait times?
