Now Another Disney Series has been Canceled
All things must come to an end, but this Disney series is coming to an end more swiftly than expected. Here are all the details surrounding the cancellation of another Disney+ series.
National Treasure: Edge of History
Sometimes a spinoff series can be wildly successful! After all, the Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian has become a smash hit sensation. Such was the hope for the Disney+ series National Treasure: Edge of History.
The smash hit Nicholas Cage National Treasure movies inspired the spin-off. Lisette Alexis starred in the series playing a young treasure hunter called Jes. The 20-year-old sets off on an exploration to discover the mystery of her family history and seeks to recover historical lost treasure along the way. Canceled
Unfortunately for anyone who happened to watch and like the series, there will not be a second season. National Treasure: Edge of History has been canceled. There will be no finale and no resolution to tie up loose ends.
There were rumors that Nicholas Cage, the star of the original movie franchise, might make a cameo in the second season. However, that is certainly not going to happen now.

Additional Cancellations
National Treasure: Edge of History is not the only Disney+ series that Disney canceled. This series will join several other Disney+ shows that met a similar fate. These include Big Shot, The Mighty Ducks: Gamechangers, Diary of a Future President, Mysterious Benedict Society, and Turner and Hooch.

The person who is at the head of Disney's entertainment (studio) should be terminated. They have no idea what is good or bad. They're greenlighting stupid things like all the live action movies being made of the animated films. Live action means just that. LIVE. Anything that is CGI is NOT, I repeat, not live. Then you cancel programs you've been teasing us with for years being made. Then when they are made, you cancel them because they didn't bring in the revenue you wanted.
I'm very disappointed with Disney. National treasure is my favorite. I hope this comes back somewhere. It would be awesome to see Nicholas Cage back as Ben Gates.

I was paying disney plus especially to watch national treasure and willow and both been canceled so is time to cancel. The rest is just not worth the monthly payment. So sad.

Honestly I miss the old Disney the Disney I grew up with in the 80s streaming's only made things worse in a lot of respects and cable TV and/or satellite have become so overpriced it's utterly insane sadly Disney's going the same route as HBO Max right now and the other streaming services as well for that matter just too much overemphasis has been being made on the importance of money IP control and gender identity politics which is ruining everything to a point that nobody's truly happy anymore and originality has almost all but died generation x and my personal opinion was the last good generation of people so much so that I feel completely out of sorts in our current society almost I just can't relate to the way people do things nowadays anymore
So why cancel something so popular?!?! Idk why so many networks want to do that! Maybe another network will pick it up! Like NBC did with Magnum.
it's just my opinion but I agree with what everybody else has been saying here in the comments that Disney has been making some rather poor decisions in upper management lately it's very sad how so much potential has been lost and overlooked and even outright thrown away on purpose seemingly for woke identity politics reasons mainly they seem to be focusing more on stuff that caters primarily to the transgender/LBGTQ audience ideals lately anymore then their old school core ideals and philosophies of family friendly entertainment first for all families regardless of gender identity considerations politically motivated or otherwise this is just how I see things and a lot of other people seemingly do as well so please don't misunderstand my words or take what I am saying the wrong way (out of context) as I have nothing against anyone and I fully respect the diversified rights of others only I think Disney shouldn't be using it's company's position to help promote more attention to the gender politics situation they should stick to what they were originally created to do entertain children regardless of gender or family unit structures everyone should stick in life to what they do best at

Like many of these streamers Disney+ is canceling shows with no regard to where it leaves da NBC s and viewers. No wonder they find with cancellations like these and price hikes they’re losing subscribers.
It came as no surprise. At least not for me. Yes, good camera shots. But that's all. The characters were blend (everyone was predictable). MC was a real "I know everything" just for the sake of faster pacing. For me, it was a boring show with no real depth or a good mystery.
Every time a good show comes out they don't give it a chance to get a fan base. I just started watching the show 2 months ago and really loved it.

Might be canceling my subscription with Disney+. I'm tired of Disney canceling good shows that my wife, kids, and I love to watch. These shows brung us together to watch as a family. We are a working family so its hard to get together because our schedule. My wife morning schedule, my night schedule, our daughter dance lessons, our sons football practice. We pick 2 nights out of the week for just us to watch as a family. And now we have to figure something else out to watch. Thanks alot Disney. Very disappointed.

Loved the movies and the show was well made. These shows that were cancelled brought my teens and my husband and I together at night for family time, very sad that ALL these good Disney shows are not coming back.
What a rip off!!!! My kids & I all enjoyed this! It was the 1st series since walking dead that that called us to gather in the living room to all watch. So sad by this. :(
Disney needs to keep National Treasure and cancel the View on ABC. Disney, stay out of politics and get back to making TV shows and movies
This sucks National charger was good so was the Mighty Ducks I mean why did they take off all the good shows even big shot was good don't understand Disney and it seems like it's getting worse for movies
Loved both of those shows. So disappointing.
BigShot, Mysterious Benedict Society, Turner and Hooch, and National Treasure: Edge of History were my daughters, and I favorite TV shows. I know there’s other TV shows they could have canceled than these. And I absolutely love national treasure had so much history in it, as well as the mysterious Benedict society with mystery and Turner, and hooch with history and then big shot. My daughter wanted to be in basketball just because of that TV show and it reminded me how much I loved the Disney Movie Doubled Teamed. And now these tv shows are taken away which absolutely sucks again and I now Disney can find other TV shows that no one’s absolutely is watching or has been on there for a very long while.
My family really enjoyed the Mysterious Benedict Society. Super sad to see it go!! :(
Uh why does Disney do that, my daughter loves the mysterious Benedict society. She read all the books and then they leave it on a cliffhanger. She was so mad and now she can’t finish watching it.

That is extremely disappointing. It always feels from networks that horrible shows stay and good ones get canceled. Plus they never give things a chance. It is so hard to find things to watch these days for my son at his age. There goes another one! Horrible!

Wow that horrible they are canceling such an amazing show I really looked forward to it and I couldn’t wait for season 2 I think I’m really going to cancel my Disney subscription cause they are just really dropping the ball and things lately this was a great series was really well made it was fun and exciting and I really had a lot of hope and expectations and they were met and now Disney gos and cancels it breaks my heart to see Disney dropping the ball so badly guess I’m going to be needing a better platform to subscribe to cause I think I am about done with Disney+ it’s becoming a huge disappointment

Cancelled or canceled is accepted as correct. One is an old English version one is not.
Seriously all I can do is ask how many times you can spell cancelled ( 'canceled' as misspelled ) and still be taken seriously while spelling cancellations right underneath it
So sad that they are canceling these show, as me and my kids both enjoy a handful of the shows they are canceling. What will be the point of keeping a subscription if they are always canceling the good series.

You never see a survey for Disney unless it's to their advantage of getting the stupid point across. Now they will probably pick something so HORRIBLE for children that they just CAN'T watch it because of context is out of range for children.
It's such a shame, as Jes was a great character and her crew was so fun and cast well. We so loved seeing Catherine Zeta-Jones as the criminal element too! You messed up Disney the show was great for the family.

Loved Willow and National treasure both..now that they are done..there isn't much on Disney+ to keep watching may drop and find some other to watch...
Am a big fan of the movies. My wife and I enjoyed the show a lot too. I don't know how they evaluate shows but they need to find a better way to do it. Keep this show!!

I watched the first season with the kids. I was a fan of the original movies. Actually it was well done. We were waiting for the second season.
I total agree !!! I’ve gotten rid of Disney everything in my house and won’t buy anything else. I stopped family trips also. Unfortunately I do still watch Disney Plus but once our shows are done or cancelled (which they just cancelled 3 of them) then we are done.

I'm really upset about National Treasure being canceled, everything I find a good show they cancel it. It's really upsetting. Finish what you started people don't make me waste my time on watching something I'm going to love and then sorry no more.
I am very disappointed, I am beginning to hate watching TV. The powers that be always takes off the really good shows. All my friends of a certain age don't watch TV, they listen to the radio.

Disney has become less watchable every year. Pretty soon not even babies will want to watch any of their programming . Everything I loved about and was loyal to about Disney has pretty much went by the waste side. Thanks for ruining all my child hood memories with all the crappy changes that keep ruining Disney as a whole company.
