Anyone who has been to EPCOT recently has probably noticed there is a significant amount of construction going on behind the walls at EPCOT. Part of EPCOT’s reimagining includes a Moana-themed walk-through attraction called Journey of Water. This immersive exploration trail will be in the heart of EPCOT’s World Nature neighborhood.

It will serve as a huge feature in this area of the park dedicated to “understanding and preserving the beauty, awe, and balance of the natural world.”

The attraction will walk guests through the water cycle, specifically focusing on how water cycles from our skies to our oceans and back continuously. Along the way, guests will interact with story elements from Disney’s hit film Moana. They will experience the “playfulness of water” for themselves! This sounds like an excellent way to spend a hot afternoon at EPCOT!

A few months ago, Disney shared that this interactive trail will open in the fall of 2023. You can catch a sneak peek of this coming attraction HERE.

Place to Relax

Not only has there been tremendous progress in this new area, but today Disney released a new video showing water running through EPCOT’s Journey Through Water inspired by Moana in the video above. There is something about the sound of water that is so relaxing. I’m (Susan) hoping that this area will provide places to relax and take in all of the surrounding beauty.

EPCOT’s Journey Through Water inspired by Moana is one step closer to completion and now has water flowing through it.

Are you excited about this new water feature and trail? Or do you think Disney could have done more with this space? Please let us know in the comments and share this post with a friend.

No, a water feature to walk through once. That $$$$$ could have built a villians land or another ride . Seems as though Disney execs can only remake a ride or remake movies. Epic universal's 4 lands coming in 2025. Universal is kicking Disney's butt. Tron ride for 1.5 min is too short. Looks like all the geniuses left Disney.
