Scheduled to open on April 4, 2023, TRON will be one of the fastest coasters at any Disney theme park in the world. This attraction is sure to bring big crowds. TRON will not offer a traditional standby queue but will offer a Virtual Queue. Guests can also be purchased as an Individual Lightning Lane.

Boarding groups for a virtual queue are limited, subject to availability, and are not guaranteed. Not all boarding groups may be called to return, based on the availability of the experience. You can check out full details for the Virtual Queue HERE.

Earlier Walt Disney World confirmed that the Virtual Queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will continue to be offered at EPCOT. Guests hoping to park hop have the potential to join a Virtual Queue for both of these great new attractions.

With Extended Evening Hours, guests staying at select resorts may have the option to join an additional virtual queue for dates with Extended Evening Hours at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.

Guests with a park hopper ticket have the option to get a boarding group for both TRON and Cosmic Rewind on the same day. At this time, guests must wait until 2:00 pm to hop to a different Walt Disney World Park. If you were to start your day at the Magic Kingdom with a Park Reservation, you can join the Virtual Queue for TRON at 7:00 am.

If you then hopped to EPCOT at 2:00 pm, you can still join the Virtual Queue for Cosmic Rewind once you enter into EPCOT. The Virtual Queue can fill up before 2:00 pm, but this is a rare occurrence for Cosmic Rewind.

As a reminder, guests can only join a virtual queue at 7:00 am for the park that they have a Park Reservation for. If you plan to park hop, you can only join a virtual queue once you enter the second park.

This also works if you have a Park Reservation for EPCOT. You can join the Virtual Queue for Cosmic Rewind at 7:00 am with an EPCOT Park Reservation. At 2:00 pm you could hop over to Magic Kingdom. If the Virtual Queue is still open for TRON at 2:00 pm, once you enter the Magic Kingdom you can join the Virtual Queue.

Guests can only join a Virtual Queue at 7:00 am for the park that that they have a Park Reservation for.

If you have a Park Reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you will not be able to join a Virtual Queue until you enter either Magic Kingdom or EPCOT at 2:00 pm.

This is great news for guests hoping to enjoy both of these new attractions on the same day.

  1. I really don’t like the virtual que. It is very frustrating. The days of being able to enjoy Disney is over. You are constantly on your phone trying to reserve your next attraction. We are taking our last Disney Vacation in October of this year. We visited Universal last year and the Universal Experience was more relaxed and enjoyable.
