BIG Price Increase for a Disney World Signature Dining Experience

Signature dining experiences are already expensive. One just got a BIG price increase, but we saw it coming...

When you think of THE Disney World icon, does Cinderella Castle come to mind? For many, it does! Cinderella Castle is probably the most recognizable Disney icon and for good reason!

Not only is it massive and absolutely stunning, but you can also get a royal makeover and eat in the castle! Magic Kingdom's signature dining restaurant, Cinderella's Royal Table, is located inside the castle. It is a very small dining room which makes the entire experience feel very intimate.

You can also see outside the windows into the park, and if you are lucky enough to dine during the fireworks, prepare for a breathtaking experience. Dining in the castle is a bucket list item for many Disney World Guests.

Princesses Return

Akershus is not the only princess dining experience anymore! Princesses officially return to Cinderella's Royal Table today, February 28. You can read Donna's story on that in this post.

When Cinderella's Royal Table opened in late 2020, Cinderella simply greeted diners from a distance at various points in the dining room. Then, she began meeting for photo opportunities in the lobby before Guests went upstairs to dine.

Price Increase

With all of the princesses back, we knew a price increase was coming. We just were not sure how much. Breakfast previously cost $45/adult and $29/child. Now that price has raised up to $20! If you want to eat with the princesses it will now set you back $65/adult and $39/child.

Lunch and dinner meals are now $79/adult and $47/child, which is $12 more for adults and $8 more for children.

That sounds more like pre-closure pricing, doesn't it? Well, that's still a bit higher. Here is the pre-closure pricing for comparison:

  • Breakfast: $62/adult and $37/child
  • Lunch: $75/adult and $45/child

What do you think of princesses returning to Cinderella's Royal Table? Are you more likely to consider getting a dining reservation there? Is the price increase stopping you? Let us know in the comments below and share this post with a friend.

  1. The pricing doesn't match on the app from the main Cindy table page($60 per adult) into the Dinner page($79)

  2. They are out of their mind to charge that but there are some parents who can afford to give their little darlings the experience which is what pushes Disney to do things like this. We eat before going into a park, we will buy lunch there at one of the cheaper places to eat, and then eat after we leave the park. Every empire falls and I hope I am around to see Disney get knocked back down to reality.

  3. You are paying for the experience, not just for the meal.

There are other places to eat both inside and outside of the parks and greater Disney universe in Orlando; no one is forcing you to partake.

Hopefully the pricing will drive down the demand and I'll no longer have to wake up at the break of dawn 60 days in advance of my trip to make a reservation.

  4. Was surprised/hopeful when Chapek was fired and Iget came back. Hope is starting to dim, however. Other than getting rid of parking fees at resorts, what has Iger done that has helped bring thr Disney magic back for guests? Nothing so far.

  5. Its character meals or fastpass so we choose fastpass. We may do 1 meal this trip but def not paying over $400.00 for our family of 5. They have lost their minds! The ONLY reason we are going this year is because I have 1 graduating high school and 1 graduating college and 1 leaving middle school and I turn 50 this year so big year. After this we are prob gonna stick with Universal and mostly do Six Flags. These prices are ridiculous! We can only afford to do 4 park days where we usually do 8 days for the same price! They have officially priced out the middle class. Grrat job Disney! Watch your sales fall again because the rich arent who keeps you going and you are gonna figure that out!

  6. We have been coming from the uk and have come every year since 2003( except covid years ) and are DVC .
We have loved the princess and character meals as we have 5 children in our 2 families and thanks to the dining plan have done many each holiday BUT last year the only character meal we did was Topolinos breakfast due to costs . This year we are just going to make food in our room !!! we can’t afford the character/princess/restaurant prices . Even the counter services are soooo expensive now . We have explained to the children that character meals are just no longer possible. It’s making a choice we have to make no wdw or no restaurant meals ! This price increase just shows wdw is now for the rich not the normal people . Come on Disney think of Walt’s dream !
Economics must show wdw that if people start having to not eat in the restaurants and counter services due to costs their profits will drop . There’s a limit !!!
