There are many things to consider when planning your trip to Walt Disney World. From rainstorms to hurricane planning, Florida weather can put a few wrinkles even in the best-laid travel plans.

With a park located in Central Florida, Walt Disney World tries to update guests on weather advisories as quickly as possible.

Florida has been hit pretty hard this year with record low temperatures in January, a wind advisory, and even major disruptions at the Orlando International Airport.

The National Weather Service has now issued a "Fire Weather Watch" for all of Walt Disney World Resort tomorrow, May 7, 2026, from noon until 8:00 pm

There is an elevated fire danger with 25-35% minimum relative humidity with winds SW 15 mph and wind gusts at 25 mph.

While an official burn ban has not been issued, guests are encouraged to help prevent fires by avoiding outdoor burning, keeping vehicles off of dry grass, properly discarding cigarettes, and reporting any fires to local authorities.

If a burn ban is issued, this could also affect nighttime campfire activities at your Walt Disney World Resort and potentially nighttime entertainment in the Parks.

Intense Heat

Guests visiting Walt Disney World starting tomorrow and heading into the weekend will need to prepare for summer-like conditions.

Due to added humidity, the heat index will reside in the mid to upper 90's both Friday and Saturday. There is a potential that the heat index will reach 100°.

If you are visiting the parks, bring rain gear for potential showers on Friday and Saturday, stay alert for fire warnings, and drink plenty of water.
