Give Kids the World
After temporarily closing in 2020, Give Kids The World Village reopened in January 2021. In case you’re not familiar with Give Kids the World Village, it’s an 89 acre non-profit resort in Central Florida. The resort provides week-long, cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families from around the world. Check out a touching Give Kids the World Village story HERE.
When wish granting organizations, like Make-A- Wish, receive a request from a critically ill child who wants to visit Disney World, Give Kids the World (GKTW) is the organization that provides these wishes.
Give Kids The World is one of the recent Disney grant recipients and a crucial part of the Wish Granting efforts here at Walt Disney World Resort. It provides a place for Wish families to create priceless memories together.
Event Details
This event is a fundraiser for Give Kids the World. All event proceeds will help make magical wishes come true for critically ill children and their families from around the world. This wonderful charity is the one who makes the wishes come true! Tony Baxter will speak April 7 and 8. He will speak Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.
This event takes place at the Give Kids The World Village in Kissimmee, Florida. General seating tickets cost $34.99 and VIP tickets cost $149.99 for each evening. There’s also an option to go for both nights for $59.99 general seating.
More about Tony Baxter
Tony Baxter is the former senior vice president of creative development at Walt Disney Imagineering. He was responsible for creating designs and carrying out the construction of attractions all over the world.
During his 47-year tenure with the company, Tony oversaw the construction of numerous contemporary Disney theme park attractions including Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Star Tours, Splash Mountain, The Indiana Jones Adventure and Journey Into Imagination. He also served as the executive producer of Disneyland Paris.
On the first day, Tony Baxter’s lecture is all about Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. He will discuss the project from the initial blue sky concepts to the opening of the attraction. Then, the next day is all things EPCOT, as Tony delves into the creation of Journey Into Imagination and other EPCOT stories.
