Attractions Temporarily Closed
You have the best touring plans in place, and you are at the park for a rope drop only to discover that your top attractions are closed. Disney World rides close all the time. Severe weather, mechanical or technical malfunctions, and Guests doing the wrong thing can all shut an attraction down.
Oftentimes, the ride reopens when the weather passes or the issue gets fixed. However, sometimes it can also lead to a multi-day closure. Ride closures not only affect that attraction but create a ripple effect as well. Higher wait times can be seen at other park attractions as guests scramble to revamp their touring plans.
Closed Attraction
This is a busy week for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests celebrated the triumphant return of Fantasmic! Opening night was met with massive lines forming hours before showtime. At this time guests can enjoy two showings of Fantasmic! to allow for even more guests to enjoy this spectacular show.
The weekends tend to be a busy time at Walt Disney World, and today guests’ wait times were altered when one attraction failed to open. Mickey Mouse received his first-ever attraction back in March 2020. Since that time, guests have climbed aboard the Runaway Railway for a wild adventure with Mickey Mouse and his pals.
Today, Saturday, November 5th, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway did not open at the park opening and has failed to open today. This has increased wait times throughout the park. At this time, the attraction still shows “temporarily unavailable” with no indication of when or if it may open today.

It would put a damper on the trip, but not be a disaster. They really should let people know what happened and when it's expected to reopen. If it is an extended outage, post it publicly to lessen anxiety and let people go to other parks. If it's all day, allow people to park-hop and make the most of their trip time. If they want to charge for adding a ParkHopper onto a n extended visit, figure out how to do it. Disneyland will have Runaway Railroad soon. But if they missed the opening I'd be disappointed to miss it. dCA is a worldwide destination, Disneyland is still mainly a regional park.theres an overlap, but not as much worldwide destination here as at Florida.
