Disney World extends big resort benefit for even longer

Disney World offers resort benefits for those staying onsite, and one of the biggest benefits will be available for even longer than we thought!

While the benefits may not be as great as they were before the historic park closure in 2020, Disney does offer some great perks for Guests who choose to stay at one of their hotels.

Free transportation to the parks, early theme park entry, and extended evening hours for deluxe guests are just a few of the ways Disney takes care of its onsite guests. For me (Monica), just being in the Disney bubble and in the middle of the action is enough of a perk to stay onsite!

Disney offers many great benefits for onsite guests.

Extended Evening Hours

Perhaps one of the most controversial benefits is the extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests. Throughout the week, the parks stay open for a few more hours only for guests staying at deluxe resorts.

When this was announced as part of the 50th anniversary celebration, many were upset that Disney was trying to price out the average middle class family. This was once a perk offered to ALL onsite guests prior to 2020.

I enjoyed extended evening hours at both the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios! It is a great way to ride many attractions with very low waits. Donna rode Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind THREE times by using this benefit at Epcot!

If you can swing it, definitely try to stay at a deluxe resort at least once to experience this unique opportunity.

Extended into 2023

When Disney announced extended evening hours, they mentioned it as part of the 50th anniversary. We know that Disney is already advertising THE END of the 50th celebrations, so what is to come of this benefit?

If you are staying at deluxe resort throughout the end of 2022 and all of 2023, you are in luck! Disney will continue to offer this amazing benefit through the end of 2023.

Our popular extended evening hours benefit for Guests staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort or other select hotels will continue beyond the 50th Anniversary celebration throughout all of 2023!
