Disney’s Hollywood Studios allows guests to step into the magic of Hollywood with amazing attractions, the immersive Toy Story Land, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The newest addition to the park came in 2020 with the opening of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. This first-ever Mickey Mouse attraction has welcomed countless guests over the years.
At nighttime, guests can enjoy the Wonderful World of Animation which is projected onto the stunning Chinese Theatre. Recently, new animated classics were added to this nighttime show.
We are counting down the days until the triumphant return of Mickey Mouse in the nighttime show Fantasmic! Mickey Mouse can be found throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Unfortunately, one Mickey Mouse is missing from Disney’s Hollywood Studios today.
Crossroads of the World
Today as guests visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios, they noticed that something was missing. As soon as you scan your MagicBand to enter the park you see the giant Crossroads of the World statue.
Currently, both Mickey Mouse and the earth that he stands upon have been removed. About every two years, both Mickey Mouse and his globe undergo a short refurbishment.
Typically this refurbishment lasts between two to three weeks. This is one of the park icons that I always look for while at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We are thankful that this will be just a brief refurbishment. It just doesn’t seem the same without the mouse that started it all.
Currently, both Mickey Mouse and the earth that he stands upon have been removed from the Crossroads of the World statue.
