Disney’s Wonderful World of Animation
The Wonderful World of Animation is a popular nighttime show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. In August 2021, Guests were overjoyed when it returned to light up the Chinese Theatre once again.
“Wonderful World of Animation is described as, “This cinematic nighttime experience leverages projection mapping technology to transform the park’s iconic Chinese Theatre on a magical journey through more than 90 years of Disney Animation.“
This show has needed an update to include the recent films that we just can’t stop talking about. We are so excited to share that this show still lasts 12 minutes, but a new addition has been added that we LOVE!
Popular New Additions
Near the end of the “Wonderful World of Animation” show, Guests can now enjoy several of our favorite scenes from our new favorite Disney Animated films. Are you ready for this?
The music changes to a dramatic tone as our favorite Madrigal, Mirabel, is projected on the Chinese Theatre. The music tempo picks up as we see the Madrigal sisters projected across the theatre. But that is where the magic stops. We then see scenes from Frozen 2, Pixar’s Luca, and also Raya and the Last Dragon.
These scenes are so cohesive to the storyline in the show that you would think they had always been a part of this nighttime spectacular.

We love that these new animated films are now included in this show celebrating the “Wonderful World of Animation.” Although the show does not yet include our favorite songs from these films, we love that our favorite characters are now included. Perhaps, in time, new music from our favorite films will be added to this show as well.
