Disney Dining
Almost everywhere you turn, there is something to eat! Disney World has endless dining possibilities at its theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. From little snack carts to fine dining experiences, you have tons of options.
This can make planning your vacation even harder because you have so many options to choose from. Does your party want a sit-down dinner every day? Do you prefer to snack your way through vacation? How much should you budget for? There are so many questions!
Disney is making the process a bit harder…because they are adding a new restaurant!
Summer House on the Lake
The new restaurant is called Summer House on the Lake, and it will open in 2023 at Disney Springs. The restaurant, Summer House Santa Monica, made the announcement on Instagram.
Other locations include Chicago and North Bethesda, so Disney Springs will mark its third location.
Looking at other photos on Instagram and the concept art for the Disney Springs location, I (Monica) am picking up a lot of relaxing, organic vibes with wicker, wood, and white accents. It all looks very natural and inviting, which is quite fitting when you think of what a summer house on the lake looks like.
When I am not visiting Disney World, one of my other favorite activities is going up to Michigan for a relaxing retreat on the water. I am looking forward to seeing this new restaurant come to life and bring two of my favorite things together!
Replacing Beatrix
Summer House on the Lake is actually replacing the “paused” Beatrix Restaurant. It will be located across from AMC and the newly-opened Salt & Straw ice cream. According to the Summer House Santa Monica website,
The place where summer never ends! Located in Chicago, IL, and North Bethesda, MD, Summer House brings the sunshine all year round.
The California-inspired menu, led by Chef Ben Goodnick, features simple ingredients sourced from local grower partnerships and sustainable products. Rosé is poured all day off the signature Rosé Cart, alongside an extensive wine and handcrafted cocktail list. And no matter the weather, the bright and airy vibes always fill the atmosphere.
Whether you’re in for date night, a family get-together, or brunch with friends, summer is waiting for you on the other side.
