This year, the Flower and Garden Festival takes place from March 2 through July 4. Gardeners will marvel at thousands of blooms forming colorful, living panoramas all around EPCOT. There is so much to enjoy from all of the amazing topiaries, a fun scavenger hunt, a beautiful new light display, and a fun attraction overlay.

Fresh flavors are on the menu at the festival’s 18 Outdoor Kitchens as well as other food and beverage locations around EPCOT. They will offer a fresh selection of springtime fruits, vegetables, desserts, and more. You can check out the means for each kitchen HERE.

There is so much to see and enjoy at this Festival. Now check out the interactive experience that is a clear winner and the experience that is a big flop in our opinion.

Best: Bambi’s Butterfly House

Bambi’s Butterfly House is located near the Imagination building in EPCOT. This is truly THE BEST experience at the Flower and Garden Festival. As you make your way through the entrance, you are overcome by the lush florals surrounding this space.

Butterflies cheerfully flutter all around you. Some butterflies landed on guests and we saw grown women giggle like young school girls.

This is a captivating space where it feels as though time stands still and you feel like a young child chasing butterflies once again.

Not only is this breathtaking, but educational as well. Guests can learn the life cycle of butterflies and even see the various pupa stages on display.

There is no time limit for this experience and you may find yourself staying longer than you had originally planned. This is an experience that we would add to our touring plan repeatedly for the Flower and Garden Festival.

Worst Experience

EPCOT’s newest experience at the Flower and Garden Festival is the Blossoms of Fragrance presented by Scentsy. This experience is described as “follow your nose and form lasting memories with the help of fresh, unforgettable fragrances.”

This experience is located on the bridge to the World Showcase. This display looks stunning, but unfortunately, the overall experience was lacking. With the fresh florals all around us, it seemed odd to smell a canned fragrance board. This seemed artificial and did not offer the overall “lasting memory” that we were hoping for.

Perhaps that was simply our experience. You can check read more about this experience HERE, but for us, we will skip it on our next trip to EPCOT.

What do you think about our rankings? Have you experienced both Bambi’s Butterfly House and the Blossoms of Fragrance? Which experience would you prefer? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook Page.
