Location of New Dessert

Once you've arrived inside Magic Kingdom, head toward the back of the castle and look for The Friar's Nook beside the Fairytale Princess Hall. It's a walk-up quick service location that is located totally outside. However, there are a limited number of covered tables and chairs here.

The menu at the Friar's Nook consists of a few breakfast items (served until 11:00am) along with various brats, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese and crunch tater tots.

Ordering

Mobile ordering food at Disney is my (Susan) favorite way to get food. However, many guests prefer ordering from a Cast Member. Either way you're in luck. There are separate windows for ordering, picking up mobile orders, and picking up non-mobile orders.

We ordered at breakfast close to park opening so neither option was busy. Since we arrived for early entry, we rode a few headliners, then grabbed a bite to eat.

50th Anniversary Dome Cakes

Dome cakes are generally well-liked by guests. In February, Gaston's Tavern debuted a Donald Duck dome cake. Before that, Gaston's offered a Mickey Mouse spiced chocolate dome cake filled with crème brûlée, chocolate-glaze. Both of these were delicious.

Newest Dome Cake

The newest 50th Anniversary dome cake features an adorable white chocolate Mr. Toad face accent on top. Mr. Toad's dome cake features a peanut butter cake, chocolate-peanut butter mousse, and a salty caramel center.

None of these flavors overpowered the others. I thoroughly enjoyed this dessert and the whipped cream on top was a tasty addition. Hopefully you'll get to try it!

Mr. Toad's dome cake is a winner!
