Disney is continually trying to make it easier on Guests attempting to obtain a boarding group. The virtual queue process has changed yet again with another new update.
Virtual Queues

For Rise of the Resistance and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, Guests must have a boarding group to ride. That is unless the parks are empty as we have noted a few times in the last few weeks.
In the future, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will also utilize boarding groups to ensure Guests have the opportunity to ride.

In order to get this boarding group, you must join the virtual queue on My Disney Experience. We have outlined this entire process for both Rise of the Resistance and (how it will likely go for) Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
The process can be quite stressful, especially for those who may only have one opportunity to attempt a group for their entire trip. Thankfully Disney has made it easier to get through the process as quickly as possible.
Another Change

Previously, here is how the process went:
Join the queue, confirm everyone in your party (or more recently everyone was already pre-checked), and officially join the queue.
A new change allows you to confirm your party up to one hour before the virtual queue opens at 7 am. So as early as 6 am you can confirm your party! Here is a screenshot from Kenny for WEB SLINGERS:

Once you have confirmed, then you wait until 7 am to officially join the queue. There is an important note at the top that reads: At 7 am, pull-to-refresh or tape the “Refresh” button below. Then, tape the “Join Queue” button as soon as it appears. See this message below:

Once the clock turns 7, all you have to do is push the “Join Queue” button and you are in! It is literally one button at 7 am.
The new change allows you to pre-confirm your party as early as 6 am. Then at 7 am you simply join the queue.
Important Details to Reiterate

Some important pieces to reiterate: Confirming your party at 6 am does not get you into the queue! You still have to join at 7 am.
Additionally, as far as we know, you can confirm your party at 7 am if you would rather just wait. However, it may take an extra second or two. As we know, this can make or break your chance of getting into the queue.
This change is helpful for confirming everyone in your party. However, if someone is not on your list don’t worry: if there are any issues with the process you can speak to someone at Guest Relations when you enter the park.
