Disney is cooking up new experiences for “the world’s most magical celebration!”
A brand new restaurant is coming to Disney’s Contemporary Resort in honor of this magical milestone, and we are here for it!
Steakhouse 71 will be a “casual dining concept.” The new restaurant takes its name from Disney’s Contemporary Resort’s opening year-you guessed it, 1971!
As the Contemporary turns 50, some things will need to change! That includes The Wave, which will not be returning the Resort.
Instead, Steakhouse 71 is expected to replace The Wave…of American Flavors.
While menus have not yet been announced, we are excited to try this new Steakhouse! Be sure to stay up to date with Kenny the Pirate, and we will bring you all of the Steakhouse 71 news as it breaks!

Disney has also confirmed that another new dining experience is coming to Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
We recently shared the news that California Grill was not accepting reservations after October 2.
Disney has now confirmed a “new dining experience” is coming to California Grill in honor of Disney’s 50th anniversary. While no details have been released yet, this is sure to be a magical meal!
California Grill is located on the 15th floor of the Contemporary Resort with amazing panoramic views of the Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon. There are floor to ceiling windows and two viewing platforms. Could this new meal have something to do with the new nighttime spectacular, Disney Enchantment? We can’t wait to find out!
