We have more information on the Skyliner refurbishment that is scheduled at Walt Disney World. You’ll definitely want to check this out because there will be some Skyliner transportation available during this time!

Skyliner Refurbishment

In case you missed it, Disney’s Skyliner will temporarily close in January 2022. From January 23 to January 28, it will be closed and Guests will need to find alternate transportation.

FROM JANUARY 23 TO JANUARY 28, THE SKYLINER WILL BE CLOSED AND GUESTS WILL NEED TO FIND ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION.

You can read more about this refurbishment and the issues that have plagued the Skyliner HERE.

New Details

Yesterday when we first received the refurbishment news, it seemed that the entire Skyliner would be unavailable during this time. However, that does not appear to be the case!

During these dates (January 23 – January 28), the line between Epcot International Gateway, Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Disney’s Caribbean Resort will be closed.

Guests will still have access to Hollywood Studios.

While we do not know the reason for this refurbishment, it may simply be scheduled maintenance that is needed for this type of transportation. It’s not like bus or boat transportation where Guests don’t notice that a vehicle from a fleet is missing.

Extra Transportation

Complete Guide to Boat Transportation at Disney World

During this time, bus transportation will be available to those who want to visit Epcot.

Friendship boat service is also available. This will be particularly useful to those looking to hop from Hollywood Studios and Epcot and vice versa. Those boats run to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, the BoardWalk resort, and Yacht and Beach Club. You can read more about boat transportation at Disney World HERE.
