True Walt Disney World fans know that you can enter the Disney Parks prior to their listed opening times. Guests can even ride many attractions before the Park has officially opened. Check out which EPCOT attraction is now open prior to the stated Park opening HERE.
The Character Locator app is truly an invaluable planning tool. A touring plan is available for each Park with an optional “Early Arrival Plan.” These touring plans that Kenny the Pirate created are great to enjoy the most popular attractions before most Guests have entered the Park for the day.

The only problem arrises when certain attractions have a delayed start. Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, one attraction will welcome Guests an hour after Park opening.
Kali River Rapids
In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Guests love visiting the Kali River Rapids attraction in Asia. This thrilling whitewater adventure takes you across geysers, hanging vegetation, along fast-moving rapids, and down a 20 foot slope.
Kali River Rapids recently underwent a refurbishment. Find out more about this refurbishment HERE. Today, we learned that this fun, water attraction will now have a delayed opening.
Staring today, May 16, 2021, Kali River Rapids will welcome Guests one hour after the stated Park opening time. In most cases Disney’s Animal Kingdom has an opening time of 8:00am which would lead to Kali River Rapids welcoming Guests at 9:00am. This attraction will continue to remain open until the Park closes for the day.

At tis time, it appears that this delayed opening will continue until stated otherwise. We are unsure why this attraction now has a delayed opening, but it is great to be prepared to adjust your touring plan to avoid delays when you visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
