How to Skip the Line Aboard Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway

Lightning Lanes can be purchased as a Multi-Pass or an Individual Lightning Lane. There is also a Premier Pass, which eliminates the need for ride reservations, but it comes at a premium price.

Many Guests love the idea of skipping the traditional line, but dislike the rising costs of Lightning Lane.

There are several tricks to enjoy shorter lines. First, Walt Disney World Resort Guests can enjoy Early Theme Park Entry every day. This is a great time to enjoy shorter lines at your favorite attraction. Second, many Guests enjoy shorter waits near park closing.

Mickey & Minnie's Shorter Wait Times

On a recent trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios, we experienced a shorter wait time at Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. We waited in the traditional queue for the attraction and made our way through the pre-show.

Once we entered the loading room, a Cast Member was calling for parties of 1 or 2. These Guests were allowed to form a short queue.

Myself (Donna) and my daughter were able to join this shorter queue and immediately boarded Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway.

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway Single Rider

It is unclear if Walt Disney World offers this shortened queue for parties of 1 or 2 at all times or simply when the wait times are higher. If you are a party of 1 or 2, try to listen to Cast Members asking for single or double riders.

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway offered a shorter queue for single and double riders.

While it does not offer the efficiency of a single or double rider queue, as Guests must still wait in the traditional queue, it does allow double riders to enjoy the attraction together rather than in separate vehicles.
