Disney's Hollywood Studios Changes Attraction to Lower Wait Times
Disney just made a small change that will hopefully lower wait times at Disney's Hollywood Studios. What do you think of this change?
Disney Wait Times
Wait times are a constant concern for Disney Guests. Many things cause high wait times, including ride malfunctions, high crowds, inclement weather, and delays with safety restraints.
With safety being a priority at the Disney Parks, the loading and safety checks aboard attractions can lead to delayed loading of Guests.

Toy Story Land Permit
Disney's Hollywood Studios is a favorite Park for many guests, offering big thrills, exciting adventures to a galaxy far, far away, and time to play around in "Andy's Backyard" at Toy Story Land.
Near the end of May 2026, Disney filed a permit for Alien Swirling Saucers. The contractor listed was Icarus Exhibits to "install set elements".
This appeared to be a signal of a cosmetic change rather than a structural change. Many hoped that this might be for a Toy Story 5 overlay, but it appears that the permit was a bit more practical.
Alien Swirling Saucers Queue Change
Numbers have now been added to the queue for Alien Swirling Saucers to correspond to the number of attraction vehicles. Guests are to stand on their number and later load into the appropriately numbered rocket.
Numbers are now added to the standby queue and the rockets for Alien Swirling Saucers.
The hope is twofold: first, that this may help decrease confusion when loading the attraction, and second, that this will help cut down on the wait time for guests.

As hundreds wait in line as paying customers skip the line ahead of them.
And is it any wonder so many influencers say crowds are down, tempers flair, profits are up.
These same stories echo in the memories of former employees and customers of Sears, K Mart, Burger Chef, and every other defunct business that entered bankruptcy.
An animation studio is how it started and looks like it will be reduced back to that in time. Just like Sears a catalog merchant returned to its roots as online only, then collasped.
When you tell people your not welcome or their not your priority, it takes a very short time for them to adjust and not forget who sent them packing !
