Driving to the theme parks is incredibly easy, but there are a few things you need to know to ensure you have a smooth experience. First, know that if you are staying onsite or you have an Annual Pass, standard parking at the theme parks is free.

Offsite guests will need to pay to park. Standard parking is $35, and preferred parking is $50, $55, or $60 (pricing varies by the season). If you are park hopping, you will only need to pay the parking fee once a day!

Second, just know it is incredibly easy to park. It is a little farther of a walk compared to Disney transportation, but Disney offers trams to save you some steps. Disney will open the lots approximately one hour before the park opens for the day.

Florida is undertaking a large I-4 Forward Initiative to eventually widen the current I-4 from 6 lanes to 12 lanes. The well-traveled I-4 just made key changes that Walt Disney World Guests need to be aware of.

Eastbound travelers heading towards World Drive received a new, permanent change. There is now a single exit at World Drive and State Road 417. Travelers must now choose between exit 62B northbound and 62A southbound.

Walt Disney World Guests will now want to take exit 62B. This will lead to all Walt Disney World Resorts and Theme Parks.

If you have driven around the Walt Disney World Resort before, you are well aware of how busy and confusing I-4 can be. It is good to be aware of this permanent change before your next trip.

Exit 62B allows access to World Drive northbound and will eventually lead to State Road 417 northbound.
