The news that sent shockwaves among Disney fans was that Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith would be rethemed with a Muppet overlay.

The new premise for this attraction is that the Electric Mayhem are headlining their biggest Hollywood concert ever.

Disney shared a full song list and included a full celebrity lineup that will be part of this attraction.

Disney Imagineers began work on the new Muppet transformation back in December 2025, which blocked the pre-show for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith. The attraction completely closed on March 2, 2026.

We were pretty surprised when Disney announced that the newly rethemed Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets would reopen on May 26, 2026.

This was a very quick retheme according to the pace of most Disney Parks projects.

Since Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets just reopened, we were surprised to find a closure in this space. Recently, we noticed signage warning Guests that the restrooms at this attraction are now closed for refurbishment.

The sign directs Guests to the closest restrooms, which are at Villains Unfairly Ever After or next to the Tower of Terror.

This is inconvenient for Guests enduring long wait times for this attraction. We are also curious why the refurbishment of these restrooms was not completed while the attraction was closed for several months.

It is unclear how long these restrooms may be closed. Large rolling planters now block access to these restrooms, suggesting a longer refurbishment.
