Disney World Removes Two Popular Walk-Up Lists

Walt Disney World just removed two popular "Walk-Up List" options. Find out what we know so far about this change.

Disney fans know the pain of wanting to dine at their favorite dining location, but sometimes struggling to secure an advanced dining reservation.

Before, if you wanted to try to eat at a restaurant that had no reservation availability, you could walk up to the check-in area and possibly be put on a waitlist.

Back in 2020, a feature was added to the My Disney Experience app allowing Guests to "Join the Walk-Up List" at select dining locations.

This past week, Walt Disney World added a "Join the Walk-Up List" feature for both The Beak and Barrel lounge at Magic Kingdom and the Geo-82 lounge at EPCOT.

Both of these lounges are quite popular with Guests. A "Join the Walk-up List" feature would allow Guests a chance to enjoy the lounge if they were unable to secure an advanced dining reservation.

While the feature was added on My Disney Experience, it was not yet operational. When we clicked on "Join the Walk-Up List," it led to a screen "Unable to search for availability right now". Guests were encouraged to "Check dining availability" in the app.

This new feature did give us hope that soon, Guests could "Join the Walk-Up List" depending on dining availability.

Walk-Up List now removed at The Beak and Barrel and Geo-82.

However, today, the "Join the Walk-Up List" feature has been removed for both The Beak and Barrel and Geo-82. We will provide an update if this changes.
