Surprise Ending for Fantasmic!
We were not expecting this end to Fantasmic!, but we love this alternative finale.
Fantasmic!
One thing that sets Disney Parks apart from other Theme Parks is the amazing entertainment. Every night, guests at Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT can enjoy amazing shows as the sun sets.
The nighttime show Fantasmic! is a story where Mickey is transported into a dream. He dances along with music, lighting effects, and pyrotechnics. Various characters and scenes from popular Disney movies are part of the sequence as well.
Since it first debuted in 1998 at what was then MGM Studios, it has seen many changes throughout the years. The most recent big change was in 2022 when it finally reopened with new scenes.
Fantasmic! Changes
There are many moving parts with Disney's Hollywood Studios Fantasmic! It is not uncommon for the show to unexpectedly pause or be canceled completely to ensure safety for all performers.
Disney will often make this announcement: "This performance of Fantasmic! has been stopped. We hope to continue the show if circumstances permit, and we will update you as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
This time the unexpected ending was the best surprise yet!
Fantasmic! Suprise Ending
The other night, it appeared that the big Steamboat Willie riverboat that usually transports many of our favorite Disney characters for the grand finale was unoperational. Instead, all of the characters featured on the boat were standing together on the stage.
Fantasmic! characters took the stage when the boat was unoperational.
