NEWS: runDisney Changes Springtime Surprise Date

runDisney has announced that the 2027 Springtime Surprise Weekend will now take place on a new date. Get the details.

2027 Springtime Surprise

The 2027 Springtime Surprise Weekend includes four events. Athletes can participate in a 5K, 10K, 10 Miler, and Springtime Surprise Challenge (includes the 5K, 10K, and 10 Miler).

The runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend is one of the four runDisney events that take place at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Themes

2027 runDisney Springtime Surprise theme is "Running Through the Years." The 5K will feature Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz. The 10K will feature Robin Hood, Prince John, and Sir Hiss.

The 2027 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend theme is "Running Through the Years." It will include some of our favorite modern and nostalgic characters.

The 10 Milers will have athletes in Alice in Wonderland, with the Cheshire Cat! The Challenge will feature Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

Along with announcing the 2027 Springtime Surprise Weekend themes, runDisney also announced that there is a date change for the weekend! The Springtime Surprise will now take place April 8 - 11, 2027.

The 2027 Springtime Surprise Weekend has been moved to April 8-11, 2027.

The original announced dates for the Springtime Surprise Weekend was April 15- 18, 2027. The event has now been moved one week earlier. Club runDisney registration will begin on June 30th with General Registration taking place on July 7, 2026 at 10 AM ET.
