The Real Reason for Jumping Junction's Delayed Opening
After several weeks, Disney finally explains the reason for the delayed opening of Jumping Junction at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
New Animal Kingdom Experience

Disney's Animal Kingdom saw a HUGE change when "Bluey's Wild World" opened to Guests on May 26, 2026.
The former Rafiki's Planet Watch was transformed into "Bluey's Wild World!" While we love this new attraction, there are a lot of moving parts to enjoy this dance party.
Guests must first wait in line for the Wildlife Express Train, take the 5 minute train ride, then join the standby queue at Conservation Station for "Bluey's Wild World". You can check out our honest review of this new attraction HERE.
Jumping Junction Delayed

When Disney announced that "Bluey's Wild World" was coming to Conservation Station, this also changed the fun Affection Section petting zoo.
Disney shared that Guests will be able to see animals from Australia, such as kangaroos, in the area called Jumping Junction. Sadly, this location did not open when "Bluey's Wild World" opened back in May.
Disney Cast Members shared that these animals needed a little more time to acclimate to their new environment. Last week, we shared that Cast Members allowed a select number of guests to enter this enclosure while being led along the walking paths. This was simply a soft opening
Jumping Junction Update

"Eventually, we'd like to invite all our guests to have their own adventure walking through our habitat and sharing space with these amazing animals," said Maggie, Zoological Manager. "As we're acclimating the kangaroos and wallabies to be comfortable with guests in their space, we're doing it very slowly and allowing the animals to let us know when they're ready."
Cast Members are only inviting small groups to walk along the paths
During this time, Cast Members are only inviting small groups to walk along the paths. While this may be a bit disappointing for Guests, it is great that care is being taken for these new animals.
