Disney's HR Department Is Working Hard to Build Monstropolis
If you thought there were a lot of issues with the story plot of Monstropolis, you are not alone. Did HR deliver with this backstory and new land?

Disney's Hollywood Studios is a bit of a mess right now. Muppet Courtyard is a demolition zone as Disney prepares to bring Monstropolis to this space.
The Monsters, Inc.-themed area is going to bring another thrill ride to Hollywood Studios, a rollercoaster inspired by the famous doors scene.
Disney promises, "Through a creative collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar Animation Studios, guests will finally be able to take in all the monstrous sights, tastes, and sounds of Sulley and Mike's world."
H.U.M.A.N. Day

Today, Disney released full details of the backstory for this new land. Many wondered how human Guests could visit this land given that the films share that humans are never meant to enter the monster world.
Since Mike and Sully discovered that laughter instead of screams could create power for Monstropolis, the HR Department (Department of Human Relations) created H.U.M.A.N. Day (Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice).
Part celebration, part cultural exchange, the event is designed to introduce humans to life inside Monstropolis while helping monsters discover that humans are not so frightening after all.
Immersive Elements of Monstropolis

Guests can enjoy the legendary Harryhausen's dining location and help bring the city to life at the Glob Theater (in the former Muppet 3D Vision space).
Disney introduces H.U.M.A.N. Day (Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice) at Monstropolis.
Imagineers are working diligently on the cityscape to bring locations to life that are often glossed over in the film. The main drive is to create an immersive land similar to Zootopia Land at Shanghai Disneyland.
